Run/Walk Events Help Those in Need

On Sept. 17, the St. Joseph Catholic Church Conference in Sturgeon Bay and the Stella Maris Catholic Church Conference headquartered in Egg Harbor will host their only public fundraising events for this year. All donations are tax deductible and will be used in their entirety to help those in need.

The St. Joseph Conference has created a run/walk and fun competition between two pastors to see which one can raise the most for charity. Register in advance at fopwalk.org under Fr. Bob Stegman or Pastor James Gomez, or register on-site, 110 N. 5th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, on the day of the event. Registration will start at 9 am, and the 1.2-mile run/walk will begin at 10 am.

The run/walk at Stella Maris in Sister Bay will open registration at 8 am. Participants may register to walk/run and/or make a donation on-site or online. There is no fee to register. The path is 0.1 mile per lap in the church’s south parking lot, and participants may choose to do one lap or many. The walk/run will begin at 9 am and conclude around 10 am.
