Salsa, Swing, and Tango at Birch Creek

Birch Creek has introduced a new dance series scheduled on various concert nights throughout the summer, inviting concertgoers to dance throughout the show.

The Percussion Steel Band concert “Fire Down Below” on July 14 will kick off the series, featuring pre-concert salsa dance lessons with Birch Creek faculty member Orlando Cotto of Puerto Rico.

July 27 and August 10, patrons are invited to swing dance along to the standards of Ellington, Basie and Miller.

August 24, Rosanne Gorcsynski of the Milwaukee Tango Community will host “Club Tango,” featuring music by the Redwood Tango Ensemble of San Francisco. The ensemble includes Birch Creek alum Charles Gorcsynski (Rosanne’s son), Birch Creek alum Holly Mead, and Kendra Vernon.
