Salute to Veterans Dinner is Nov. 9

In cooperation with the Door County Veterans Office, the second annual Salute to Veterans dinner and program will be held Nov. 9, 5 pm, at the Corpus Christi Parish Social Hall. Each veteran and a spouse or friend are invited to enjoy the dinner, presentation of colors, entertainment and keynote speaker.

Two complimentary tickets will be distributed to Sturgeon Bay-area veterans on a first-come, first-served basis at the four Catholic parish offices and the local veterans service office through Oct. 15. 

Members of the Sturgeon Bay community who wish to attend may purchase any remaining tickets for $15 per person beginning Oct. 16 at the parish offices. All proceeds will benefit Door County veterans.

A raffle for a large print called “Lambeau in Red, White and Blue” will also be held. The funds it raises will support a new, returning-veteran sponsorship program, in which personnel returning from service will be paired with a veteran to help with the transition to civilian life.
