Sample 70 Wines at ‘Evening of Wine and Cheese’ to Benefit Boys & Girls Club

On Aug. 24, 6 – 8 pm, at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club, the Boys & Girls Club of Door County will host the second annual Evening of Wine and Cheese. This event promises a sampling of more than 70 wines, paired perfectly with cheese and savory appetizers, all in support of the afterschool programs of Boys & Girls Club of Door County (BGCDC). Wine cellars from around the world will be represented, accompanied by dozens of Wisconsin cheeses, and small bites from Waseda Farms of Baileys Harbor. The cost is $50 per person and reservations may be made at Dress for the evening is black tie optional.

“Guests who purchase tickets and participate in the live and silent auctions directly help the ‘Great Futures’ mission of Boys & Girls Club,” said BGCDC Executive Director Julie Davis.

There will be a dozen different stations set up in the Horseshoe Bay Clubhouse, each featuring flights of wine and food, and staffed by experts. The range of cheeses together with organic vegetables and meats enhance the experience, before the excitement of the live auction emceed by Bill Jartz.
