Sanctuary Studio Welcomes Robert Rich

Robert Rich will play at the Sanctuary Studio in Sturgeon Bay on April 24 at 7 pm for the Music Heals Winter Concert Series. Rich is embarking on a short solo tour around the U.S., celebrating his latest CD release Filaments. Inspired by modern cosmology, shimmering, pulsating, woven patterns of melodic filigree echo the hidden structures that permeate space and time. Rich is famous for his hypnotic performances, seamless transitions from organic electronics to deep improvisation, with abstract evolving visual stimulation including custom laser projectors. Robert Rich has helped define ambient and electronic music with dozens of albums across four decades.

“We are honored to welcome Robert Rich, one of the great pioneers in electronic music to Sturgeon Bay. I don’t think that we ever had a chance in our community to hear someone of his caliber,” said studio owner Hans Christian. Rich will also hold a music workshop on April 25 at 7 pm.

A percentage of all ticket sales will go toward the “The Healing Project” of Door County. To make reservations for the concert or workshop, call 920.493.5979. Tickets are $15 for the concert on April 24 and $15 for the workshop on April 25. Reservations are highly recommended. Refreshments will be offered before the concert.
