Sandstrom Exhibits at Meadows Art Gallery

Bonnie Sandstrom carefully touches up a work-in-progress. The artist will display at Meadows Art Gallery.

Good Samaritan Scandia Village in Sister Bay welcomes the community to the opening reception and exhibition of Bonnie Sandstrom’s artwork. Sandstorm’s show is part of the newly established Meadows Art Gallery. The wine and cheese reception will be held Aug. 18 from 3 – 5 pm; the show will be displayed until Sept. 17.

Sandstrom has had a lifelong interest in art, and primarily creates with pastel media in a representational, realistic style. The quality of natural light plays an important role in the construction of her work. Door County’s seasonal changes influence her work, and the change of seasonal lights is an important part of her compositions. There are also textural variances found in her work, which add interest for the viewer.

Sandstrom is a member of the Door County Art League and her work has also been exhibited at the Hardy Gallery.

The Meadows Art Gallery is located in the front hall gallery of the Meadows Apartments at Scandia Village.
