Santa Fe Shop Features de Anda

The Santa Fe Shop in Fish Creek is proud to introduce artistic lamps and accessories by artist and designer Carlos de Anda.

A world-renowned artist, de Anda completed his architectural studies in Guanajuato. His travels throughout Europe and North America, as well as his industrial design studies in Tokyo and Prague, where he specialized in scenographic design, have been the fundamental steps to secure feedback on his creative process.

For de Anda, artistic development has been a constant objective, favoring innovation over the years. He passed through a difficult experimental stage before reaching maturity in his own style that carries with it implicit philosophy, mysticism and a way of viewing life.

He approaches abstract universal thought of the union of the sun and the moon as a symbol of cosmic unity. Also, it is imperative for him to think about the evolution of human beings as a basis for his designs, searching and discovering through this supreme being that is God. The materials with which he works are also universal, oftentimes, found in our world as primary, natural elements, such as glass and wood.

For more information or to view de Anda’s work stop by the Santa Fe Shop, located at 4147 Main Street, in Fish Creek or call 920.868.4300.
