SantaLand Diaries, Dirty Deuce & More Weekend Plans

Christmas may start the weekend but the celebration doesn’t end that night. Enjoy the remaining cheer of the holiday season by taking in a show, visiting a gallery, or enjoying the unseasonably warm weather with a winter hike at Crossroads.

Saturday, Dec. 26

Visit A Gallery

Many of the Door Peninsula’s art galleries have winter hours. This weekend, Angela Lensch Gallery will host a holiday open house to celebrate the season and Interfibers Studio Gallery will share its mission to work with Mayan women of Guatemala.

Looking Forward to Spring

Gather the whole family for Crossroads at Big Creek’s Seed Spreading Hike on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Participants will hike the upland areas, spreading seeds that will become beautiful flowers enjoyed by butterflies and bees in the years to come. 1 pm.

Musical Mathematicians of Rock ‘n Roll

Door County rock ‘n rollers Dirty Deuce will bring their tunes to the stage at Door County Brewing Co. on Saturday evening at 7 pm.

Sunday, Dec. 27

Take In A Holiday Show

Third Avenue Playhouse and Rogue Theater are both putting on holiday productions this December, with TAP returning its “The Santaland Diaries” comedy starring Dan Klarer as Crumpet the Elf (recommended for mature elves only) and Rogue Theater showing the family-oriented “A Rogue Family Christmas,” featuring hilarious holiday skits, songs of the season and some holiday-oriented monologues.
