The Savory Spoon Cooking School in Ellison Bay is on a mission to teach young people about the joy and value of cooking through an interactive, fun learning experience. Classes are appropriate for kids ages seven to 13.
Retired teacher Jane Tomich will be the instructor for the summer’s last class, offered Aug. 20, 9:30 am – 12 pm, when students will learn to prepare vegetable soup, whole-wheat muffins, turkey meatloaf and more. They will also visit the Hidden Acres Farm to pick the fresh produce they will use in the recipes they prepare.
