Savory Spoon Plans Trip for Italy

The Savory Spoon Cooking School is getting ready for its 4th annual culinary tour in Italy. This year Janice Thomas and participators will visit Sicily, the island known for its great culinary treasures. Sicily’s kitchen is packed with fresh ingredients – fish fresh from the Mediterranean, almonds, pistachios, and delectable combinations of pasta, sardines, and saffron.

A weeklong trip is planned for May 8 – 14. Beginning in Palermo, the capital of Sicily, each day will feature a specially designed outing to meet the local artisans and take cooking classes with the experts of the region.

The trip will also feature the many tastes of the country, from espresso, olive oil, pastries, and the fruits of the region’s many vineyards.
