SBAA Seeks Volunteer of the Year Nominations

The 2012 Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Volunteer of the Year was Fred Johnson of Sister Bay. He organized and led the Sister Bay Centennial Celebrations, and serves as president of the Sister Bay Historical Society. As a small token of gratitude, Johnson received a framed print by artist Tom Seagard.

The Sister Bay Advancement Association (SBAA) presents the fourth annual Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Volunteer of the Year award to bring awareness to contributions volunteers make in the village and town, and to raise awareness of local volunteer opportunities.

The Volunteer of the Year will be the Fall Fest parade marshal and will receive a unique piece of art created by a Sister Bay or Liberty Grove artist. Volunteer services must occur within the Village of Sister Bay or the Town of Liberty Grove between Oct. 1, 2012 and Sept. 1, 2013. Volunteers cannot have received monetary compensation.

On the nomination forms, describe the reasons for nominating the nominee; the deadline is Oct. 1, 2013. For nomination forms: email [email protected], call 920.854.2812, stop by Sister Bay Information Center at 2380 Gateway Dr., or the SBAA office at 10635 N. Bay Shore Dr., Unit G.
