SBHS Announces Heritage Programs

The Sister Bay Historical Society (SBHS) is again sponsoring Heritage Programs during the summer of 2014. Each Saturday a local artist will demonstrate his of her skills and display their work. The programs run from 8:30 to 11 am, during the Farmers Market at the Corner Of Past.

Many of the artists have participated in the past and SBHS is pleased to welcome them back. In some cases the artists will demonstrate their skills and some may offer their work for purchase. The following is the list of speakers:

June 21 – Susan Armour, “History of Liberty Park Lodge”; June 28 – David & Carol Hackett, watercolors & fused glass; July 5 Gary Chaudoir, glass fusing; July 12 – Door County Art League; July 19 – Jeanne & David Aurelius, potters; July 26 – Bethany Kirwen, acrylic & mixed media; Aug. 2 – Dennis Moutray, photography; Aug. 9 – Lorretta Paulman, rosemaling; Aug. 16 – Diane Saron, pastels; Aug. 23 – Mike Farmer, Native American flutes; Aug. 30 – Don Howard, pencil & ink drawings, watercolors; Sept. 6 – Nancy David, painted Ukrainian eggs; Sept. 13 – Patti Brooking, beading and jewelry; Sept. 20 – Penny Pfister, watercolors and oil; Sept. 27 – TBA; and Oct. 4 – TBA.
