SBHS Hosts Quilt Show

Quilts of all kinds will be featured at the 12th Annual Quilt Show hosted by the Sister Bay Historical Society. The show will take place from 9 am – 3 pm on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16 from 11 am – 3 pm at the Corner of the Past Museum in Sister Bay.

The show will include over two-dozen quilts, table runners, and wall hangings created by students at The Clearing Folk School in Ellison Bay, and the quilts will be displayed throughout the Old Anderson House on the museum grounds.

Other events are being held at the museum in addition to the quilt show, including a hop-off trolley service on Saturday in conjunction with the Door County Festival of the Arts. Members of the Sister Bay Historical Society will be on the trolley offering narration about the history of the village. Those attending the show on Saturday morning will also be able to partake in the Historical Society’s Farmers Market and also be able to spend some time watching rug-hooking demonstration in the Koessl Barn.

Admission to the quilt show is $3/person, with the museum grounds being open to the public at no charge. The Corner of the Past Museum is located on Highway 57 in Sister Bay at its intersection with Fieldcrest Road and Country Lane.
