SBSI Begins Online Fundraising Campaign

Over the past three years, the Sturgeon Bay Skatepark Initiative (SBSI) has raised $360,000—90 percent of the funds needed to build a professionally designed park in Sturgeon Bay. To help finish their effort, they’ve launched an online appeal through a crowdfunding website: indiegogo.com. SBSI’s crowdfunding goal is set at $15,000.

“This is a great, very safe way for individuals to make a contribution,” states SBSI co-chair, Laurel Hauser. “We’ve had an enormous outpouring of support from the community and this is an easy way for those who are excited about the project to help. The beauty of a crowdfunding appeal is that supporters can quickly share the appeal with their friends and family, too. And, the new video featuring local skaters is fun to watch!”

Tax-deductible contributions may be made at indiegogo.com or sent to DCCF, P.O. Box 802, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235. For more information, visit sbskate.org or call 920.746.1786.
