SBVC Hosts Harvest Moon Celebration and Sturgeon Auction

The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) will host Harvest Festival and Harvest Moon Celebration on Sept. 21, beginning at 9 am.

Downtown Third Avenue will be closed to traffic between Jefferson Street and Nebraska Street to celebrate the beginning of the autumn season. The streets will be filled with the Old Bolts Car show, arts and craft vendors and a meet & greet with the retired greyhounds.

Live music during the day includes: Inkapirka, 9 am – 5 pm; DJ Michael Raye, 9 am – 12 pm; Hot Off the Grill, 12 – 5 pm; Ronnie Nyles, 11 am – 2 pm; and WifeE and the HuZzband, 2 – 5 pm.

A wide variety of good things to eat from area non-profit organizations and vendors will include brats, burgers, turkey legs, booyah, funnel cakes, Italian sausages, cowboy kettle corn, and various beverages.

The Street Art Auction (sponsored by Young Automotive) will take place on South Third Avenue in front of the SBVC office featuring an evening of music starting at 4:30 pm and bidding starting at 6 pm. If unable to attend the auction, but are interested in a piece of street art, there are absentee bid forms available as well as stand-ins (on the phone with bidders) for the participants’ convenience.
