The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center (SBVC) will host its annual Independence Day celebration at Sunset Park on July 4. The evening will begin with live music on the Brick Lot Pub & Grill Stage at 5 pm by Lakeside Fire, the Kevin Fayte Rock-n-Roll Trio, and WIFEE and the HUZzBAND. Nick Freimuth of WBDK, Door County Daily News, will host a live broadcast from the park with a special soundtrack of music slated to air during the fireworks celebration. Burgers, brats, chips, and non-alcoholic beverages will be for sale at the park pavilion with all proceeds going to benefit the Pioneer Fire Department. Ice cream and adult beverages will be available to purchase from the SBVC with all proceeds going to benefit the SBVC. A spectacular fireworks display will take place at dusk following live music by WIFEE and the HUZzBAND.
There is no charge for admission but donations are graciously accepted by the SBVC to help offset event costs. In the event of adverse weather conditions, events will take place the evening of July 5 beginning at 5 pm. For more information visit sturgeonbay.net or call 920.743.6246.
