SBVC Receives Grant from Revitalization Program

The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center received a $500 grant from the Wisconsin Public Service Downtown Revitalization grant program to support their downtown wayfinding design initiative. The Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center will use the money in support of this critical project by investing in a pedestrian and vehicular wayfinding design with projected implementation in 2019-2020. “This WPS revitalization grant is a big help to this effort,” said Pam Seiler, executive director. In announcing the award, Carol Karls, manager of Community and Economic Development for WPS, said the downtown project was a good fit for the revitalization grant. “We looked for a project that would help to attract and retain business, grow jobs and create a sense of community by improving the downtown core,” said Karls. “This creates a sustainable partnership between Wisconsin Public Service and the communities we serve.” For more information visit SturgeonBay.net.
