The SCAND Auxiliary will host its 35th annual luncheon and style show at noon Monday, Sept. 11, at Gordon Lodge. Cheri Boock is chairing the event, which will feature 11 models, each wearing two outfits from the auxiliary’s Bargains Unlimited resale shop. All the clothing will be for sale.
Like its name, Bargains Unlimited is known for outstanding clothing at bargain basement prices. One auxiliary member whispered that she saw online for $90 the outfit she’ll wear to the Sept. 11 event. She did not, however, purchase it online, but found the identical garment at Bargains Unlimited. The price? $6.50!
Narrators for the style show are Kristine Kordon and Kristine Nelson. Boock noted that a number of very nice, high-end purses will also be for sale. As usual, all profits will be used to benefit residents of Scandia Village. Since the SCAND Auxiliary was formed in the 1990s, it has raised more than $4 million dollars for Scandia Village.
Lunch will feature chicken filet salad. Door prizes will be the table centerpieces created by Barbara Olson and Doris Thompson. Tickets are $17. For reservations, call Cheri Boock at 920.854.5493.
