Scandia Friends and Family Featured in Latest Meadows Exhibit

The current exhibit at Meadows Art Gallery, Scandia Family and Friends, takes a somewhat different direction and highlights artwork created by resident artists of Scandia Village in Sister Bay. Collected artwork will also be shown.

The show started Feb. 13 and will run through March 12 at the Meadows Art Gallery. The show reception is scheduled for Feb. 20, 2 – 4 pm.

Many art directions are exhibited, including watercolor, mixed media painting, acrylic painting, types of printmaking, pottery, stitching and fabric work, carved wood sculpture, paper sculpture, stain glass, collage, pencil drawings, ink drawings and jewelry construction. Featured artists are Gladys Austgen, Anita Beckstrom, Linda Beckstrom, Loraine Brink, Don Brink, Joyce Craig, Cliff Darken, Gen Follingstad, Kayla Follingstad, Bette Gadient, Janet Halverson, Wally Hammerberg, Virginia Henz, Judith Johnson, Shirley Rosenquist, Pat Smith, Harvey Stahl, Frank Stvan, Florence Thoms, Peggy VanVleet and Terry VanVorous.

The Meadows Art Gallery is located on the top of the Sister Bay hill at Scandia Village. Turn onto Canterbury Lane from Highway 57 and head to the main entrance of Scandia. Keep to the right at the first hallway, and there’s the gallery. For more information call 920.854.4416 or 920.854.2317.
