Scene Study Theatre Class Offered at TAP

The last day to see Stage Door Theatre Company’s The House of Blue Leaves, written by John Guare and directed by Ryan Schabach, is Sept. 13 at Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP).

This play tells the story of a zookeeper who dreams of being a successful songwriter. The House of Blue Leaves has been staged worldwide since its New York premiere in 1971, and has had two Broadway revivals, most recently in 2011 with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.

The performance is set for 7:30 pm. Tickets are $22/general admission, $10 students ages 12 – 24, and $5 for children 11-years-old and younger.

Enrollment is now open for Scene Study Theatre Class from StageKids. Classes will be held Sept. 21 & 28 and Oct. 5, 12 & 19 from 9 am – 12 pm. This class, taught by Ryan Patrick Shaw and Claire Morkin, is an in-depth scene study class where students will be doing scenes from various contemporary American plays.
