School Referendums

The School Districts of Sevastopol and Southern Door are asking voters to approve referenda to over-ride the state-imposed revenue caps for the next biennium. The questions as they will appear on the ballot are printed below.

• Southern Door School District Referendum Question

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the Southern Door County School District, Door County, Wisconsin that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, by $400,000 for the 2011-2012 school year and by $850,000 for the 2012-2013 school year for non-recurring purposes consisting of general operational expenses.

• Sevastopol School District Referendum Question

BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of the School District of Sevastopol, Door County, Wisconsin that the revenues included in the School District budget be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91 Wisconsin Statutes, by $800,000 for the 2011-12 school year and by $900,000 for the 2012-2013 school year, for non-recurring purposes consisting of maintaining educational programs and the facilities of the District.
