Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese in Egg Harbor Closes After 6 Years

Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese has closed after six years in business.

Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese has closed its retail store in Egg Harbor after six successful years. Owners Michael and Janice Thomas will continue their involvement in the artisan cheese business. They currently serve a variety of food service accounts in Wisconsin, including a number of businesses in Door County.

“It has been an honor working with the talented artisan cheesemakers of Wisconsin, and we look forward to our continued journey in the world of cheese,” Thomas said. “We would like to thank all our retail customers in Door County for their patronage.”

The original location of Schoolhouse Artisan Cheese, located at the Savory Spoon Cooking School in Ellison Bay, will once again offer a variety of Wisconsin Artisan Cheese. Details will be announced soon.
