Schultz Competes in ODP Regional Tournament

Devan Schultz of Fish Creek participated in the US Youth Soccer Region II’s Olympic Development Program (ODP) soccer tournament and camp at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL on July 9 –11.

Schultz, who will enter her junior year at Gibraltar High School this fall, is a member of the girls state of Wisconsin’s 1994 birth year team, consisting of talented players from throughout the state and coached by Mike Moynihan, UW-Milwaukee Women’s Head Coach.

Schultz has also been invited to attend the College Search Kickoff Tournament in Muscatine, Iowa “playing up” as a guest player for the FC Green Bay U-18 girls team. The College Search Kickoff, held July 29 and 30 (for the girls) is an invitational showcase for youth soccer players who want to play on the college level and are getting ready to enter their junior or senior year of high school in the fall.

Schultz will begin league play again this August with the FC Green Bay Soccer Club’s U-17 State Premier Team, the highest level of league play within the state.

Schultz was co-captain and team MVP for the Sevastopol-Gibraltar girl’s soccer team this past spring and was named to the All-Packerland Conference First-Team.
