Scott Wakefield to Play T.Ashwell’s August 6

New York-based musician and Door County favorite Scott Wakefield will play a special acoustic show at T.Ashwell’s Restaurant in Ellison Bay on Thursday, August 6 at 8:30 pm. Dan Hansen, one of the restaurant’s popular pianists, will precede Wakefield’s performance at 6 pm.

Wakefield is no stranger to the Door County music scene; having performed in solo shows all around the peninsula as well as American Folklore Theatre’s popular fall concerts Goodnight Irene: The Music of the Weavers and Fish and Whistle: The Songs of John Prine. He has performed his eclectically original and entertaining catalogue of songs for enthusiastic audiences across the nation. His songs span a wide gulf of human emotions and encompass everything from hilarity to heartbreak.

Wakefield’s appearance coincides with the restaurant’s popular “Thursday Small Plates” evenings. Chef Thomas Ashwell Smith has been offering small plates since the restaurant opened its doors over a decade ago, and these evenings have given customers the chance to taste the wide variety of American/Ethnic cuisine that the restaurant is known for. The small plates range in price from $6 – $14, and a full menu is also available for patrons that prefer a full dining experience.
