Seed Collection, Telescopes at Crossroads

Crossroads at Big Creek and Wild Ones of Door County, in collaboration with the Door County Seed Library and Door County Master Gardeners Association, will host a seed-collection workshop Nov. 5, 11 am, when participants can learn how to gather, store and stratify seeds. Then they will collect seeds from the Pollinator Garden and the Wild Ones Meadow at Crossroads. Meet at the Collins Learning Center.

The quantum lecture series – exploring the quantum nature of the universe through the theories and experiments that help to describe it – will continue Nov. 5, 1 pm, with Tom Minahan’s lecture, “Quantum Revolution.” It will also be available via Zoom. The Door Peninsula Astronomical Society invites the community to its meeting Nov. 8, 7 pm, when Steve Ransom-Jones will present “James Webb: The Science and the Stories behind the Images” at the Stonecipher Astronomy Center, 2200 Utah St. in Sturgeon Bay.
