Segway the Door Tours Introduce Sturgeon Bay Tours

 

• Segway the Door Tours will begin Sturgeon Bay tours April 22. In addition to four tours in Northern Door, 2011 brings three tours to the Sturgeon Bay area.

 

Sturgeon Bay tours will begin at 41 N. 3rd St. One tour will be a 45 minute Historic Downtown Tour and the two others will be 1.5 hour tours to the edge of Potawatomi State Park and the Sturgeon Bay Lighthouse. All tours are led by an experienced and informative tour guide. Tours are limited to eight participants per tour guide.

 

Segway the Door Tours’ Sturgeon Bay Grand Opening will take place Friday, April 22 from 10 am – 3 pm. A free Segway experience will be offered with light refreshments and a drawing. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance.

• The Summertime Restaurant in Fish Creek was recently presented with a Restaurant Neighbor Award by the National Restaurant Association. Winners were recognized at a gala awards dinner at the Renaissance Downtown in Washington, D.C. April 13.

 

The award speaks to the restaurants’ dedication to community outreach, and as a state winner, they will receive a plaque for display. The community project The Summertime Restaurant was involved with will be highlighted on the National Restaurant Association website along with the other state winners from across the country.

• The Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) offers free business counseling and entrepreneurial services the third Tuesday of each month in Sister Bay. Individual, confidential sessions will be held Tuesday, April 19 from 8 am – 12 pm at the Sister Bay Fire Station, 2258 Mill Road. DCEDC Economic Development Manager Sam Perlman will provide advice on business planning, financing, business incentives and other issues. As a member of the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Network, DCEDC also has the ability to tap into the expertise of the statewide support network to help find solutions to business issues and questions.
