Self-Defense Class for Women at Studio234

Studio234, 234 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, is hosting a self-defense class for women ages 12 and older June 18, 10-11:30 am, with Master Penny Duggan, a sixth-degree black belt. Mothers and daughters are encouraged to attend together. 

Participants will learn how to be prepared and aware of their surroundings; use their voice; block and use hand attacks and knee and foot strikes; get out of holds; and defend against knife strikes and gun holdups.

Duggan has been practicing Tae Kwon Do since 1974, teaching since 1976, and is a former Midwest Tae Kwon Do champion. The cost is $30 per person. Register at emeraldlionalchemy.com.
