Seniors Prep for Life After Graduation

Southern Door High School seniors participated recently in a College/Career Day organized by Mrs. Paye, the school’s counselor. During the first two hours of the day, students were able to work on developing their postgraduation plans by attending two sessions from among the areas of writing college essays, completing an NWTC application, working on four-year-college applications, financial aid and scholarships, and building a résumé and interviewing skills. 

The second two hours of the day included presentations to help the students learn more about their top career choices among the fields of engineering, the trades, human services, education, and small-business ownership and management.
