September Workshops at Chez Cheryl Art Space

Chez Cheryl Art Space is offering painting workshops this Sept.; “Plein Air Painting with Emmett Johns,” will be from Sept. 17 – 19 and “GO FIGURE with Ken Klopack” will be Sept. 20 – 22. Both of these artists have a long history of exhibition and teaching around the county.

Johns will demonstrate his plein air methods. Surrounded by pasture, forest, farmland, Lake Michigan and Kangaroo Lake, students will have a variety of settings serving as inspiration.

This workshop meet from 9 am – 4 pm. Students must bring their own supplies, but a map and suggested materials list will be provided at registration. Deadline is Sept. 1 for registration. The workshop is $380 and includes a catered meal and tea break.

Klopack is a well-known figurative painter and art educator from the Chicago area. His workshop will explore the placement of the human figure and composition of the interior space.

The early registration fee is $280, and after July 1 the fee is $300. The price includes catered lunches.

For both workshops, class size is limited to eight people, to insure one-on one instruction.
