Server of the Week: Curt Vandertie at the Door County Sheriff’s Department

This is Curt Vandertie, who works in the Door.

He keeps us safe and a whole lot more.

If you go too fast, he may give you a warning.

This happened to us on a cold winter morning.

He warned of the danger in such a nice way,

that you really listen and want to obey.

To protect and serve often puts him in harm.

This guy was firm, but full of charm. 

So if you see him, give a high-five.

He’s one of our best, who helps keep us alive.

He’s one of a group of Door County’s brave.

When you see our police officers, please give them a wave.
