Settlement Shops Annual Summer Art Fair

On Saturday, July 31 the Settlement Shops Fine Art Fair will take place in Fish Creek. Local and regional artists will gather on the green space among the shops to show and sell their latest creations.

Door County artists participating include Roberta Champeau with paintings and calligraphy; Wendy Carpenter with hand dyed skirts and jewelry; Emily Mahr with Door County photography; Patricia Stierna with stoneware, porcelain pottery, and carved tiles; Joan Eaton with mixed media and sculpted art forms; Ken and Pat Klitzman of the Arts of North Ridge with sand art, wood carvings and pen and ink.

The Door County Art league will have a strong presence with acrylic painters Patricia Olson and Loretta Kelly, watercolorists Marlene Hopfensperger and Barb Kenyon, and jeweler Susan Hitchler.

Regional artists include Mao Lor with handmade Hmong arts and crafts; William Gram with oil and plein air paintings; and Bruce and Victoria Boswell with blown glass pieces and fused glass art.

Lunch and snacks by caterer Dorothy Lopez, the Door County Private Chef, will be for sale. The Heuer Brothers will play music from noon – 2 pm.

The Art Fair will be held from 10 am – 5 pm. The Settlement Shops are located 1 mile south of downtown Fish Creek on Highway 42.
