Settlement Shops Fall Art Fair

Saturday, September 26 will mark the date for the Settlement Shops Annual Fall Art Fair. Local and regional artists will gather along the path that divides the courtyard to exhibit their art from 10 am – 5 pm.

New to the art fair this year will be stained glass by Chicago glass artist Matthew James John, exhibiting his hand formed glass hangings and boxes. Also new to this art fair are Door County artist and Door County Art League member Gary Orthober with his hand carved and hand painted nature sculptures. Roxane Abel of One More Bag will bring her bags and jewelry all handmade of recycled materials to the art fair for the first time.

Other artists exhibiting include: Door County artists Roberta Champeau and painter Rob Story with their oil and acrylic paintings; Roger Bergan with hand made pottery; Felice Breitkreutz with scraffitoed pottery; William Gram with plein air oil paintings; Laurey Clampitt with functional wire art; and Jo Brinkley Chaudoir’s handmade jewelry.

A fresh and delicious lunch and snacks will be offered by caterer Door County Private Chef and music by local musicians will be played throughout the day. Tarot card reading will be available by Melissa, the Lady of Northern Shadows to add to the festivities. It’s sure to be a fun and colorful day to celebrate autumn!

The Settlement Shops are 1 mile south of downtown Fish Creek on Highway 42. (The art fair will be cancelled if it’s stormy weather.)
