Sevastopol Announces Co-Valedictorians

Erin Kiehnau and Clare MacMillen have been named the 2009 co-valedictorians for Sevastopol High School. MacMillen will attend Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, where she will major in Chemistry while pursuing a pre-med track in hopes of going to Medical School. The daughter of Matthew and Lori MacMillen, Clare played soccer at Sevastopol for four years and will continue her soccer career at Macalester in the fall.

She also participated in band, choir, the Green Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra, Drama Troupe, and Student Council. She’ll be working at the UW – Extension’s Peninsular Agricultural Research Station this summer and volunteering as a coach for a youth soccer team in Northern Door.

Kiehnau is the daughter of Kevin and Sue Kiehnau and will attend Marquette University. She has not chosen a major.

Kiehnau has participated in 4-H four four years, was class president her junior and senior year, and was also active in band, choir and National Honor Society. She excelled in soccer and volleyball, and was named volleyball captain and team MVP her senior season.
