Sevastopol Construction Start Moved to May 1

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation project on Highway 42/57 that was supposed to get underway this week has been moved to a start date of May 1.

The project includes pavement and culvert repairs from Egg Harbor Road 1.17 miles north to the mid-junction of Highway 42/57 in the Town of Sevastopol. The $1.55 million project will be done in the evening, with nightly closures between the hours of 6 pm and 6 am. 

Daytime closures of the northbound bypass lane at County BB and the southbound right-turn lane at County BB will take place early in the project to complete grading and guard-rail work while maintaining northbound and southbound through traffic on Highway 42/57.

Traffic will be detoured via Egg Harbor Road, Old Highway Road, County BB and County HH.
