Sevastopol Cuts Ribbon on School Renovations

The Sevastopol School District will commemorate the completion of its community-supported referendum project with a dedication program and ribbon-cutting Aug. 22, 2-4 pm, at the new entrance to the school, located at the southeast corner of the building.

The program will include presentations by students, faculty, alumni and other guests; music performed by Sevastopol alumni; and self-guided tours of the new school addition.

The 2018 referendum project included replacing space in the two oldest portions of the school, including the three-story 1924 section that once housed Sevastopol’s 4K to middle school classrooms, and the 1946 portion of the building that hosted agriculture and horticulture classes, as well as shop and technical education.

In the event of inclement weather, the dedication program will be held in the elementary gym.
