Sevastopol Gets Input on ATV Paths

Close to 30 people attended the public hearing Tuesday evening that the Town of Sevastopol hosted to take input on the possibility of opening some town roads to ATV/UTV use. Six people spoke in favor of the concept, saying the mode of transportation was safe, good for business and tourism, and would be used to visit family, friends and local businesses. Five people spoke against it, including two people who successfully lobbied against opening County Road C to ATV/UTV use, connecting Sturgeon Bay and Nasewaupee. Primary among the opponents concerns were safety and noise issues.

The town board intends to discuss the issue at their next board meeting, Nov. 20, said Town Board Chair Dan Woelfel.
