Sevastopol’s ‘Little Women’ on Stage Nov. 1-3

Sevastopol Middle and High School will present Little Women Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 at 7 pm, and Nov. 3 at 2 pm in the elementary school gym.

During the American Civil War, four sisters – Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March – spend their days performing plays together, ice skating and other fun activities while their father is off fighting in the war and their mother and dear Marmee take care of them. Their circle grows when they meet the neighbor boy, Laurie; and his tutor, John Brooke. Throughout the play, the sisters learn about life, love and where they fit into the world.

Sturgeon Bay resident Paulette Laufer adapted Louisa May Alcott’s original novel Little Women for the stage in 1997 while working with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

Amy Ensign directs senior Breanna Jacobs as Jo, sophomore Lilly Turner as Meg, junior Lexie Henkel as Beth and eighth-grader Bea Dramm as Amy.

Tickets are $6 per student and $8 per adult.
