Seven Choirs Participate in Choir-Nucopia

The public is invited to enjoy a great night of singing, laughter and camaraderie, as seven church choirs participate in Choir-Nucopia on Nov. 18. Participating choirs include First Baptist, Friends Community, Hope UCC, Prince of Peace Lutheran, Sturgeon Bay Community, Sturgeon Bay United Methodist, and Sturgeon Bay Moravian.
Rev. James Gomez, pastor at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, will emcee the event and provide smooth transitions and a little bit of humor between choir pieces.

Each choir prepares one song to sing on their own, along with a piece to sing as a combined choir. The combined choir is directed by Georgine Johnson with accompaniment by Robert Nickel.

The doors open at 5:15 pm and the choral music starts at 6 pm. While the event is free, the evening will include a love offering to support the programming at the Boys and Girls Club of Door County.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is located at 1756 Michigan St in Sturgeon Bay. Overflow parking is available at the office complex across the street and at the YMCA. For more information call 920.743.7750.
