Seven Years at Cappaert Gallery

Cappaert Contemporary Gallery will toast its seventh season with an opening reception for Group Show: Season 7, on July 10, 4-8 pm. The gallery represents 50 contemporary artists, from emerging to nationally recognized, who work in glass, clay, encaustics, painting, sculpture and jewelry. Owner and resident artist Ginnie Cappaert works in oil and cold wax painting and is represented nationally. 

You’ll find some whimsy and a lot of originality at the gallery. Look for works by 10 new artists this season: Paul Bobrowitz, sculpture; Helen Hierst, ceramic sculpture; Jennie Frederick, mixed-media kozo paper construction; Frank Shelton, minimalist collage; Debra Fritts, figurative clay sculpture; Scott Belford, ceramics; Christina Kionka, collage; Dave Clausen, wood turning; Jean Nelson, jewelry; and Rusty Wolfe, painting.The gallery (cappaertcontemporary.com), 7901 Hwy 42 in Egg Harbor, is open daily, 10 am – 5 pm, through Oct. 31.
