Sexual Assault Center of Family Services Needs Volunteers to Serve as Advocates

The Sexual Assault Center of Family Services is seeking volunteers to work as sexual assault advocates in Brown, Door, Oconto and Marinette Counties. No experience is necessary; all advocates receive extensive training provided by the Sexual Assault Center prior to working with victims of sexual violence.

By participating in the training, volunteer advocates learn methods to provide support and follow-up assistance to victims of sexual assault and abuse. Advocates play an important role in victims’ healing process as they not only field incoming hotline calls through hotline, but also respond to hospitals or police stations to provide immediate support and information.

For more details about this opportunity, contact the volunteer coordinator at 920.436.8899, email [email protected], or visit familyservicesnew.org/sac to apply online.
