Shake It Up Saturdays at Door Shakespeare: A Fun Way to Get to Know the Bard

Join Door Shakespeare for Shake It Up Saturdays: casual, pre-show chats and activities designed to introduce patrons of all ages to Shakespeare and Henry V. Door Shakespeare’s managing director, Amy Ensign, will review the characters and plot to provide a deeper understanding of the story and enhance the theatrical experience. Designed with families in mind, Shake It Up Saturday includes activities to help get the wiggles out before the show begins.

Remaining Shake it Up Saturdays are July 27 and Aug. 3, 10 and 17, beginning at 3:15 pm. Registration is required for these free programs that are open to the public.

This summer’s final Door Shakespeare Wine Night is Aug. 1, 6:15 pm, before the performance of Henry V. This tasting event will feature wines from area wineries and small plates prepared by Thyme Cuisine and Catering. Take in the beautiful scenery, and mingle with patrons and cast members. Wine Night tickets are $35 (not including the performance admission price).

Door Shakespeare’s Annual Gala – on Aug. 4, 6-9 pm, at Woodwalk Gallery – will include performances by 2019 company members, a silent auction, a paddle raiser and food by Thyme Cuisine and Catering. Tickets are $75.
