Shepherd of the Bay Annual Fall Sale

Great bargains, tempting home-made baked goods, herbs and houseplants and Third World Crafts plus a tasty soup and sandwich luncheon will be featured at the Annual Fall Sale sponsored by the women of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay on Saturday, October 4. Sale hours are 9:30 am – 2:30 pm.

“Grandma’s Attic” will offer a wide assortment of good-as-new items, ranging from house wares and decorative items to small furniture and sporting goods. In addition to pies, cookies and breads, the Bake Sale items will also include an assortment of home-grown vegetables and herbs.

The Third World Crafts shop will be filled with unique handcrafted merchandise ideal for early Christmas shoppers. Featured items include Christmas crèches from Africa and South America, colorful woven accessories and beaded jewelry.

“Chooch Billy T’s” Ho-Made pulled pork sandwiches, with a choice of sauces will highlight the luncheon menu served from 10:30 am – 1 pm. Noted television chef Paula Dean’s potato soup with cheese or bacon toppings and Myrma Howard’s tasty Walnut Apple Squares complete the Fall-themed meal.

Shepherd of the Bay Church is located at 11836 Highway 42, at the top of the hill south of Ellison Bay. Proceeds from the annual event, augmented with a grant from the Thrivent Foundation, will be used by WELCA to support a variety of local, national and international charitable efforts.
