Carrie Sherrill will be the featured poet at the free Dickinson Poetry Series on Oct. 13, 7 pm. The event includes readings by the featured poet, then an open mic when attendees may present one of their poems.
Sherrill has been writing since grade school – observing, storing words and images, and taking inspiration from her garden, from overheard conversations and through the eyes of her grandchildren. Her Catholic upbringing, experiences with both good and bad relationships, long nursing career, and fascination with colors also provide foundations for her work. Sherrill’s poems have been published in the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets’ calendar and other regional venues.
The public is invited to this free series held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Door County, 10341 Hwy 42 in north Ephraim. Questions? Call 920.854.7559.
