Tickets are on sale at DoorCountyTickets.com for the Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay’s 30th Shipyard Tour on May 6. That’s when – for one day each year – Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding opens its doors to the public for tours of its operations within the shipbuilding industry. Tours stop at multiple places of interest and take about 90 minutes. Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes because the tour requires walking and standing on gravel surfaces.
The Door County Maritime Museum will offer half-off admission to all Shipyard Tour ticket holders May 7-8. The museum is filled with opportunities for maritime lovers to explore local shipbuilding history.
Adult Shipyard Tour tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for ages 11-17. There are limited tickets for each of the five time slots at 9, 10 and 11 am, and 12 and 1 pm.All proceeds go to the Rotary Club of Sturgeon Bay and the Rotary Youth Interact charitable projects.
