SHopko Foundation Awards $500 Grant to Altrusa

Altrusa International of Door County’s Back-to-School Fair announced the receipt of a $500 grant from the Shopko Hometown Foundation. Sister Bay store manager Mike Pride presented the award to Altrusan Cheri Meyvis, who wrote for the grant. The funds are used for school supplies for children attending the Fair in August. This year, Altrusa is serving a record 635 children at the August event, where participants will receive grade-specific school supplies, backpacks, gym shoes and socks, toiletries and school spirit shirts.
