124 Golfers Take Part in Johnny G Scramble

The 10th Annual Johnny G Golf Scramble took place at Peninsula State Park. 124 players took part in the event. The shot of the day came from Lukas Willems. Willems made a hole-in-one on the down-hill par 3 17th hole. The hole plays 171 yards.

In the mens’ flight, Ivan Bridenhagen, Nick Kwaterski, Adam Biwer and Rick Chomeau took first shooting 58. In the mixed flight, Leif Mickelson, Dede Landstrom, Heather Laughlin and Matt Tishler took first with a score of 70. Finally, in the womens’ flight Teresa Martin, Sharon Daubner, Mynn Lanphier and Janice Thomas took first shooting 73.

Wuollett Named NAC Freshman of the Year

Tori Wuollett, a 2011 graduate of Gibraltar, was recently named the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Freshman of the Year based on her 14th place finish at the NAC Conference Tournament. Wuollett shot a final round 89, which also helped Edgewood clinch the team championship. Wuollett shot a 54-hole total of 280 (100, 91, 89).
