The Liberty Grove Town Board and the Sister Bay Village Board are engaging in a cooperative venture to increase recycling.
All residents, business owners or operators, and property owners in the Village of Sister Bay and the Town of Liberty Grove may participate in a shredding/appliance-recycling/drug drop-off day Sept. 11, 9 am – 1 pm, in the Liberty Grove Town Hall parking lot, 11161 Old Stage Road. (Due to demand, those from other municipalities will not be allowed to participate.)
There will be no charge to have documents securely shredded, and most small appliances will be recycled for free. Fees may apply to certain larger items.
Door County Sheriff’s Department representatives will also be on-site to safely dispose of unused or outdated prescription and over-the-counter medications in pill and capsule form. Liquids, creams, syringes, lotions, chemotherapy drugs, aerosols, inhalers, needles and mercury thermometers cannot be accepted.
Do you have questions about the shredding or recycling? Call the Village of Sister Bay at 920.854.4118 or the Town of Liberty Grove at 920.854.2934. Direct questions regarding the medication drop-off to Chief Deputy Pat McCarty at 920.746.2400.
