Singing Men at First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church of Sister Bay will be hosting the Singing Men of Oak Brook in concert on Sunday, October 11 at 3 pm. The group is a non-denominational men’s chorus of about 35 members who represent many walks of life and church backgrounds who want to share their love of music and Christian ministry.

The group is mostly comprised of residents of Chicago’s western and southern suburbs that first gathered in 1985. They have been delighting and inspiring audiences throughout the greater Chicago area for more than two decades. The group performs one to two times a month in their nine-month season, and these performances feature nationally known and Chicago-area guest artists.

Under the direction of Wendell Borrink, the Singing Men’s repertoire includes sacred and secular songs ranging from classic/traditional hymns, gospel songs, and both new and old spirituals, often with creative new settings and accompaniment by Vivian Person Borrink.

First Baptist Church is located at 2622 S. Bay Shore Drive (Highway 42) at the southern edge of Sister Bay. For more information, call 920.854.2544.
