Sip Cider, Listen to a Story

As autumn officially wraps itself around the county, what better way to celebrate the change of seasons than putting on a sweater, grabbing a cup of hot cider, and being told a story?

After a standing room only event in June, Door Shakespeare and Write On, Door County will again present an afternoon of true stories, selected by local writers who where inspired by the theme “Transformation.”

Jami Hanreddy, Edward Stone, Peter Sherrill, Laurin Bellg and Julie Stratton will tell their real life tales at The Fish Creek Old Town Hall, 4176 Maple St. in Fish Creek on Oct. 11 at 2 pm. The event is free of charge, appropriate for all ages, and will be followed by a reception with donuts and cider. For more information call 920.839.1500.

The next storytelling event will take place in February 2015. In honor of Valentine’s Day, the theme will be “Slings and Arrows.” Those interested in participating can start putting pen to paper now. Submissions are accepted at [email protected].
