Siren Shrub Wins with Seaquist Cherries

Siren Shrub Company of Stevens Point earned the award for innovative local sourcing during the recent, sixth annual Feast Local Foods Marketplace, which an estimated 1,500 visitors and nearly 100 vendors from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa attended.

Siren Shrubs are flavorful concentrates made from organic apple cider, vinegar, fresh fruits, roots and herbs, and sweetened with organic cane sugar or maple syrup.

The company sells five varieties that all boast a Wisconsin ingredient: basil features sweet basil grown by Whitefeather Organics of Custer; currant is made using currants grown by Highland Valley Farm in Bayfield; Door County tart cherry boasts Seaquist Orchards’ cherries; maple ginger includes maple syrup from Tapped Maple Syrup of Stevens Point; and rhubarb features rhubarb grown by Epic Nature of Amherst.
